Autumn visit to Kelmscott Manor

Kelmscott Manor was the retreat home of William Morris which he described as ‘Heaven on Earth’. He celebrated the Manor House and adjoining farm buildings as the work of true craftsmanship and the beauty and peace of the surroundings inspired many of his most important designs and writings.
The property has recently reopened after extensive conservation and renovation work which has enhanced the atmosphere of the house as a home, rather than a museum.
Our visit to Kelmscott Manor starts with coffee, tea and biscuits followed by a guided tour of the house in groups of ten.
Following the tour, lunch is provided in the restaurant.
After lunch the property and grounds can be explored at leisure.
